Crimson Moon Patch Notes & official roadmap: 1.0.1, 1.0.2 and 1.1
Hotfix 1.0.2 is released on all platforms. The Steam release post is timestamped September 30, 2026, at 15:12 UTC. Before returning for a particular fix, match your problem below: cross-device saves still carry an official caution, and a later co-op gear-reset report is being investigated. Patch 1.1 remains planned for October as checked October 8.
Released versus planned
| Update | Status | What it means now |
|---|---|---|
| 1.0.0.1 | September 3 — PC | Initial keyboard and mouse rebinding. |
| 1.0.1 | September 11 — released | Earlier save backups, camera, crash and co-op work. |
| 1.0.2 | September 30 — released on all platforms | The September 24 delay is historical. Use the shipped fixes and remaining limits below. |
| 1.1 | Planned for October; no confirmed day in the checked announcements | More substantial save handling work and quality-of-life changes; controller remapping remains planned. |
The official 1.0.2 release notes ↗ (external; new tab) confirm availability. For chronology, the official Steam news feed ↗ (external; new tab) supplies the September 30 release timestamp; the publisher copy displays September 22, so that page label is not used here as the shipping date. Historical 1.0.1 notes ↗ (external; new tab) remain useful when comparing older reports.
Which 1.0.2 fix matches your problem?
| Your blocker | Released change | Next useful check |
|---|---|---|
| Progress differs across devices | Several save and overwrite-screen bugs were addressed, but cross-device issues remain. | Follow the single-device and backup guidance. |
| Cannot join or collect a Lore Scroll | Joining, Quickplay and client scroll collection have listed fixes. | Update both players; use the co-op symptom checklist. Rejoining gear loss has a newer report. |
| Shaders compile on every launch | A repeated-compilation issue is listed as fixed. | Separate that note from later player reports in PC troubleshooting. |
| Aftershock disappears or a shield Art fails | Specific Aftershock, Angelic Bulwark and other effect bugs were addressed. | Match the exact effect to the Boon checks; do not assume all stacking is fixed. |
| Clear the Area will not finish | Enemy spawning and navigation blockers were addressed. | Record the area and remaining objective in the run guide. |
| 100,000-Soul achievement behaves differently | Premature PC awards and missing Steam Deck awards have separate fixes. | Use the platform-specific achievement note. |
These are developer-reported fixes, not independent tests on every system. Check your installed version before repeating a failing action; keep the exact symptom and platform in any follow-up report.
What is still pending for Patch 1.1?
The 1.0.2 announcement recommends keeping the same save on one device while more complex save issues are investigated. A larger save-system rework is planned for 1.1. Local PC backups remain useful; neither update is a promise to restore already-lost progress.
The planned quality-of-life work covers gear, Blacksmith services, clearer gear and Boon information, run and reward visibility, controls and co-op. Controller button remapping is still a planned feature; the released keyboard route is explained in the controls guide.
The October 2 “One Month in Gildenarch” message says 1.1 is next and previews later content without a complete feature list or shipping day. For an interrupted co-op run, read the current gear-reset report before assuming a released patch guarantees a safe joint resume.
Is the new content or Deluxe expansion dated?
The October 2 message previews future content beyond 1.1, but does not establish a complete content release schedule. It also does not establish that every teased feature is the Deluxe Edition expansion entitlement. There is not enough confirmed detail to publish a new-content walkthrough.
For a purchase decision, the buyer guide separates the documented improvements from remaining save, controls and co-op limits.
